The Buddhist Pine (Podocarpus macrophyllus) is an evergreen tree native to the tropical mountain regions of Asia. Buddhist Pines are a popular choice for bonsai practitioners. They do well indoors year-round but prefer to be outdoors during summers in the Lowcountry.
