The Dawn Redwood (Metasequoia glyptostroboides) is a living fossil and a stunning addition to any bonsai collection. Once considered extinct, this ancient tree was rediscovered in China in the 1940s. Known for its rapid growth and vibrant foliage, the Dawn Redwood is a deciduous conifer that sheds its needles in the fall to reveal its elegant, furrowed bark.
